Wednesday, March 27th SJA Jeju ES Literacy Coach, April Black hosted an Instructor Led Training, which included a training overview, multiple rotating sessions facilitated in small groups. Parents engaged with specialists at each station, learning practical hands-on strategies while earning a useful tool for its application.
Over eighty parents enjoyed a fun-filled morning learning more about the importance of reading, practiced hands-on strategies to implement with any book at home and ways to make reading more engaging and joyful. Parents expressed great appreciation at the conclusion of the event! A big thank you to all the teachers, assistants and translators for their help and support of the first annual Parent Literacy Training, sponsored by Literacy Coach, April Black, M.Ed. and the ES school.
